New device tests body water to understand sepsis shock
NCT ID NCT06512129
Summary
This study aims to learn if measuring a patient's extracellular water (fluid outside their cells) can help doctors better understand unstable blood pressure in sepsis. Researchers will enroll 20 adult sepsis patients in intensive care and add this special water measurement to their standard monitoring for three days. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
