Can a simple Finger-Press test predict sepsis survival?

NCT ID NCT07391098

Summary

This study aims to see if simple signs of blood flow to the skin, like how quickly color returns after a gentle press, are linked to how well people with sepsis recover in the intensive care unit. Researchers will observe 80 adult patients with sepsis, collecting routine data and blood tests during their first day in the ICU. No extra treatments or procedures will be performed; the goal is to gather knowledge that may help doctors better understand and predict patient outcomes.
