Could a simpler surgery replace major lymph node removal in ovarian cancer?
NCT ID NCT06963268
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a less invasive method called sentinel lymph node (SLN) technique in 200 women with early-stage ovarian cancer. Instead of removing many lymph nodes, doctors will check just a few key nodes for cancer spread. If the SLN technique proves accurate, it could mean fewer side effects and shorter hospital stays for future patients.
