NCT ID NCT05315154
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether women with early breast cancer (tumors smaller than 5 cm) and no signs of cancer in the lymph nodes can safely skip sentinel lymph node biopsy. About 800 women will be randomly assigned to either have the biopsy or no axillary surgery at all. The goal is to see if avoiding surgery affects cancer recurrence or survival.
