NCT ID NCT06955247
First seen Jun 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial compares two approaches—sensory motor integration and the Bobath technique—to see which better improves hand skills in children aged 6 to 12 with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. Fifty children will receive one of the two therapies for 45 minutes, three times a week, over three months. The study measures changes in manual dexterity, fine motor precision, and muscle spasticity.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
sensory motor integration therapy and Bobath technique
What this could lead to
If one approach proves better, it could point toward a more effective therapy for improving hand function in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 50 children, so results may not apply to all. Neither therapy is expected to cure the condition, only to improve function.
