Could sensory differences predict PTSD in soldiers?
NCT ID NCT05967962
Summary
This study investigated whether having sensory processing differences makes a person more vulnerable to developing PTSD symptoms after experiencing trauma. Researchers showed combat-related movie clips to 248 healthy young adults, some with and some without sensory issues, and measured their physical and emotional reactions. The goal was to understand risk factors for PTSD to help develop better prevention strategies for military personnel.
