Smart watch aims to tame Parkinson's unpredictable 'Off' times
NCT ID NCT07074119
Summary
This study is testing if using data from a body-worn sensor (a smartwatch-like device) can help doctors better adjust Parkinson's medication for patients who experience motor fluctuations. The goal is to reduce the amount of time patients spend in the 'off' state, where symptoms return, and improve their quality of life. About 218 patients in France will wear the sensor, but only doctors for half the group will use its data to guide treatment changes over six months.
