Scientists hunt clues in aging cells to unlock fibroid treatments
NCT ID NCT06135870
Summary
This study aims to understand how specific 'senescent' or aging cells work with immune cells to cause the excessive scar tissue that makes up uterine fibroids. Researchers will analyze tissue samples from 150 women with fibroids to map out these cellular interactions. The goal is to identify new biological targets that could lead to future treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies on participants.
