Summary

This study tested a once-weekly injection of semaglutide (2.4 mg) in 207 adults with obesity and prediabetes. Participants received either the drug or a placebo for 12 months, plus lifestyle counseling. The goal was to see if the drug could help them lose weight and return their blood sugar to normal. Results showed significant weight loss and many participants achieved normal blood sugar levels.
