Weight-Loss drug may curb alcohol cravings after bariatric surgery

Summary
This early-phase study tests whether semaglutide, a drug used for diabetes and weight loss, can help reduce alcohol use in adults who have had weight-loss surgery and also struggle with alcohol use disorder. Ten participants will take the medication for three months and be followed for another three months. The goal is to see if the treatment is feasible and reduces drinking and weight.
