NCT ID NCT06934655

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether restarting semaglutide (a weekly injection for weight loss) two weeks after sleeve gastrectomy helps teens with severe obesity lose more weight and improve their health. About 150 teens aged 12-18 who were already on semaglutide before surgery will either restart the drug or receive standard care for 24 months. The goal is to see if early re-initiation is safe and leads to better outcomes.
