Summary
This study tested a self-management education program to see if it could help women with rheumatoid arthritis feel more confident in managing their condition and improve their quality of life. It involved 44 women in Bogotá, who were randomly assigned to either receive the special program or continue with their usual care. The program focused on teaching skills for daily symptom management, treatment adherence, and emotional coping.
