First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching family caregivers of elderly people a simple self-hypnosis technique could help lower their daily stress. Fourteen caregivers who felt stressed and helped an older relative at home took part. They learned self-hypnosis and practiced it at home. The main goal was to see if this approach was practical and if caregivers would stick with it.
