Scientist injects self with virus to watch immune system fight back
NCT ID NCT07302945
Summary
A single, healthy researcher injected themselves with an experimental virus designed to fight cancer. The goal was to track in real-time how the body's immune system reacts immediately after receiving the virus, which is very hard to measure in regular patients. This was a very early, observational study to gather basic knowledge, not to treat any disease.
