First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Aug 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a new training program called SEBAR can improve confidence and success with over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids. Twenty-seven adults with mild-to-moderate hearing loss who have never used hearing aids will wear OTC devices for a week and answer questions about their experience. Researchers will compare results with and without the hearing aids to see if the training helps people feel more confident and satisfied.
