Summary

This trial tests whether a 6-week self-compassion-based mindfulness program can lower perceived stress and increase hope among healthcare students. About 60 students will be randomly assigned to either the program or a control group. The program involves weekly group sessions with psychoeducation and exercises. Stress and hope are measured before and after the program to see if it makes a difference.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
A 6-week self-compassion-based mindfulness psychoeducation program delivered in weekly group sessions.
What this could lead to
If effective, this program could offer a simple, non-drug way to help students manage stress and maintain hope.
What could go wrong
The trial is small (60 participants) and short-term, so results may not apply broadly. It relies on self-reported measures, and benefits might fade after the program ends.
