NCT ID NCT07115940

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a procedure to remove blood clots from the brain (endovascular thrombectomy) can help people who have a stroke and arrive at the hospital 24 to 72 hours after symptoms began. About 408 adults with severe stroke will be randomly assigned to get either standard medical care alone or standard care plus the clot-removal procedure. The main goal is to see if the procedure leads to better functional outcomes 90 days later.
