First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study gave free eyeglasses to over 1,800 students aged 9-20 in Sierra Leone who had trouble seeing. The goal was to find out if correcting their vision with glasses would improve their math and reading skills, and also reduce anxiety and boost social behavior. Researchers measured changes over one school year using tests and questionnaires.
