First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study gave free eyeglasses to over 1,800 students aged 9-20 in Sierra Leone who had trouble seeing far away. Researchers wanted to find out if wearing glasses would help kids learn better, feel less anxious, and get along with others more. The study was stopped early, but it aimed to show that fixing a simple vision problem can make a big difference in a child's life.
