New study tests gentler way to turn breech babies, could reduce C-Sections

NCT ID NCT06449430

Summary

This study compares two methods of pain relief for pregnant women undergoing a procedure to turn a breech baby head-down. Researchers want to see if using a sedative (propofol) is as effective and safe as spinal pain relief (bupivacaine) during the turning maneuver. The goal is to find the best approach to help more women have a vaginal birth and avoid unnecessary cesarean sections.
