Double dose stroke treatment: could a second shot save more brain?

NCT ID NCT07375966

Summary

This study is testing if giving a second dose of a clot-busting drug (tenecteplase) helps stroke patients who don't show significant improvement one hour after the first standard dose. It will involve 198 adults who have had an ischemic stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel in the brain. The goal is to see if this 'rescue' strategy is safe and more effective at opening the blocked vessel and improving recovery.
