Gentler second chance: study tests new way to replace Worn-Out heart valves
NCT ID NCT07215143
Summary
This study is observing patients who need a second replacement of their aortic heart valve. It is testing a specific device (Myval) that is placed inside the old, failing replacement valve using a catheter, avoiding repeat open-heart surgery. About 300 patients from European hospitals will be followed for up to five years to see how well the procedure works and how safe it is.
