Kidney Donors' hidden risk: scrotal surgery rates under scrutiny
NCT ID NCT06716723
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study compared nearly 10,000 male kidney donors to similar non-donors to see if donating a kidney increases the chance of needing scrotal surgery years later. Researchers looked at hospital records and doctor bills to track surgeries for fluid collections in the scrotum. The goal is to better understand long-term health effects of kidney donation.
