Simple blood test could spot hidden liver damage in thousands

Summary
This study is testing whether a routine blood test (called FIB4) can effectively identify people with advanced liver scarring who don't yet know they have a problem. About 500 adults aged 18 to 70 with a high FIB4 result will be invited for a specialized liver check, including a special ultrasound (FibroScan) and possibly a biopsy. The goal is to see if this screening approach is worthwhile for catching serious liver disease early.
