NCT ID NCT04764292

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a special type of mammogram, called contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), can be used instead of MRI to screen for breast cancer in women at high risk or with very dense breasts. About 600 women who were already recommended for yearly MRI screening took part. The goal was to see if CEM finds more cancers than a standard mammogram while keeping false alarms low.
