Chilean teens get early treatment to block stomach cancer path
NCT ID NCT05926804
Summary
This study is testing if finding and treating a common stomach bacteria (H. pylori) in healthy teenagers can help prevent future stomach cancer. Researchers in Chile will screen 1000 teens, treat about 210 who have a persistent infection, and compare them to teens who are not treated. The goal is to see if early treatment reduces signs of stomach damage and successfully controls the infection long-term.
