Brain scans probe hidden link between spine curvature and body sense
NCT ID NCT07208929
Summary
This study aims to understand if teenagers with severe scoliosis have a different sense of their body's position and if this is linked to changes in their brain. Researchers will compare brain scans and body awareness tests from 30 teens with scoliosis scheduled for surgery to 30 healthy teens. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to new, non-surgical therapies.
