New study tests taping technique for scoliosis pain relief
NCT ID NCT07428083
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether adding Kinesio Taping to Schroth therapy helps reduce back pain and improve daily function in young adults (ages 18-30) with mild idiopathic scoliosis. Participants will be split into three groups: one gets Schroth therapy plus real Kinesio Taping, one gets Schroth therapy alone, and one gets Schroth therapy with a sham (fake) tape. The treatment lasts 4 weeks, and pain and disability are measured at several points. The goal is to see if the tape provides extra benefit beyond exercise alone.
