Can schools curb Girl-on-Girl bullying? major study puts program to the test

NCT ID NCT04164472

Summary

This study tested whether a proven program to reduce relational aggression (like rumor-spreading and social exclusion) in 4th and 5th grade girls could be effectively run by school staff instead of researchers. Over 5,000 students in 40 urban schools participated. Teachers and counselors, with coaching from the research team, led small group and classroom sessions aimed at teaching girls better social problem-solving skills.
