Summary

This study looked at whether improving the nutritional quality of school meals can help prevent obesity in children living in rural areas. Over 11,500 students from six school districts in Arkansas took part. Three districts improved their meals, while three kept their usual menus. Researchers tracked changes in students' weight, what they ate, and their fruit and vegetable intake over several years.
