Summary

This study tested whether improving the nutritional quality of school meals could help prevent obesity in children. It involved about 11,500 students across six rural Arkansas school districts. Researchers compared schools that implemented a new, comprehensive nutrition program with similar schools that did not, tracking students' weight and eating habits over four years.
