First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a school-based football program called "11 for Health" helps improve the heart health, fitness, health knowledge, and well-being of 8-14-year-old children in Pakistan. Over 250 fifth and sixth graders from five schools in Islamabad took part. Some did the football program for 5 or 11 weeks, while others followed their usual school routine. Researchers measured things like blood pressure, jumping ability, and health knowledge before and after the program to see if the football group improved more.
