New therapies target the hidden struggle in schizophrenia

Summary
This study is testing two different talk therapies to see if they can help reduce persistent negative symptoms in people with schizophrenia. Negative symptoms include things like low motivation, reduced emotional expression, and social withdrawal. The study will enroll 90 stable outpatients to receive 18 months of either Cognitive Enhancement Therapy or Enriched Supportive Therapy and track changes in their symptoms and daily functioning.
