New monthly shot aims to keep schizophrenia symptoms at bay

Summary
This study is testing whether a long-acting injection of the medication iloperidone can help prevent symptom flare-ups in people with schizophrenia. It will compare the injection to a placebo (a dummy shot) in 400 adults who are already stable on treatment. The main goal is to see if the active injection helps people stay well for longer periods without their symptoms getting worse.
