Summary
This study tested whether a new medication called CVL-231 (Emraclidine) could help control symptoms in people with schizophrenia who were experiencing a sudden worsening of psychosis. 385 participants received either one of two doses of the drug or a placebo for 6 weeks. Researchers measured changes in schizophrenia symptoms and monitored for side effects to see if the medication was effective and safe.
