Scientists search for clues to Schizophrenia's 'Brain Fog'
NCT ID NCT07162467
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with schizophrenia often have trouble with thinking, memory, and attention, even when their other symptoms are treated. Researchers will measure specific chemicals in the blood of 200 participants (100 with first-episode schizophrenia and 100 healthy volunteers) to see if they are linked to these cognitive problems. The goal is to find markers for early detection and identify potential targets for future treatments that could improve thinking skills.
