Nursing students write their way to better stoma care skills
NCT ID NCT07276659
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether having nursing students write and act out scenarios about stoma care helps them learn better than just the usual lessons. Sixty third-year nursing students took part, with half doing an eight-week program of writing, role-play, and feedback, while the other half followed the standard curriculum. The researchers measured their knowledge before and after the program and also interviewed some students to see if they felt more confident and skilled. The goal is to find a more engaging way to teach this important nursing skill.
