Summary
This study tests whether a special team of doctors and nurses can reduce deaths in pregnant women with sickle cell disease (SCD) and their babies. About 500 pregnant women with SCD in Ghana will receive coordinated care from SCD and pregnancy experts. The program focuses on preventing complications like acute chest syndrome and monitoring fetal growth with ultrasound.
