First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to remove large uteri in women with fibroids or adenomyosis. Instead of making large cuts, surgeons use a special bag and tool to break up the uterus and take it out through the vagina. The goal is to avoid scars and reduce the risk of spreading tissue. The study includes 25 women aged 38 to 52 who are already scheduled for a laparoscopic hysterectomy.
