First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether freeing up the skin near the tips of a surgical wound (called undermining) can improve how the scar looks. About 50 adults having skin surgery on their neck, trunk, arms, or legs will have one wound tip undermined and the other not. Doctors will compare the scars months later to see if there is a difference.
