Numbing the scalp before brain surgery could slash Post-Op pain

NCT ID NCT06748547

Summary

This study is testing if giving a numbing injection (scalp nerve block) *before* making the skin cut in brain surgery works better for pain than giving it *after* the cut. It aims to reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers and help patients recover more comfortably. The trial will involve 64 adults having a specific type of brain surgery called a craniotomy.
