Precision radiation may stall prostate cancer spread in early metastasis

NCT ID NCT04983095

First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding targeted, high-dose radiation (SBRT) to cancer spots outside the prostate can delay the disease from getting worse in men with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer that has spread to just a few places. About 118 men will be randomly assigned to get either standard treatment alone or standard treatment plus SBRT. The main goal is to see how long it takes for the cancer to progress, based on PSA blood tests.
