First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a radioactive drug called Radium-223 to standard targeted radiation (SBRT) helps men whose prostate cancer has returned in a few bone spots but hasn't yet become hormone-resistant. Twelve men participated, receiving either SBRT alone or SBRT plus Radium-223. The goal was to see if the combination could delay cancer progression longer than SBRT alone.
