Could a canadian berry help prevent diabetes?
NCT ID NCT04809688
Summary
This study is testing whether eating Saskatoon berry powder can help prevent type 2 diabetes by improving how the body handles sugar and supporting healthy gut bacteria. Twenty healthy adults in Winnipeg will eat 30 grams of the berry powder daily for 10 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar, cholesterol, and gut bacteria to see if this natural food could be a helpful dietary supplement.
