NCT ID NCT06478420
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study gives healthy adults aged 18-40 who have already had a COVID vaccine or prior infection a small dose of the Omicron BA.5 virus through the nose. The goal is to find the safest dose that causes a mild, controlled infection in about half to three-quarters of participants. Researchers will monitor symptoms and viral levels closely to improve future COVID research. This is not a treatment or cure—it helps scientists better understand how the virus behaves in immune-experienced people.
