Summary
This study looked at whether being infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) increases the chance of intensive care unit (ICU) patients picking up multidrug-resistant bacteria. Researchers followed 368 critically ill adults to compare infection rates. The goal was to understand if COVID-19 adds to the superbug problem in hospitals.
