First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This Phase 2 trial tests an experimental drug called IN-207907 in 100 elderly people with sarcopenia, a condition causing muscle loss and weakness. Participants receive three doses of the drug or a placebo by IV every four weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug improves physical performance, like walking speed and balance.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
IN-207907 injection
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a treatment to improve mobility and reduce frailty in older adults with muscle loss.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 100 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not improve physical function more than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
