Summary

This study aimed to understand the relationship between muscle loss (sarcopenia) and knee replacement surgery. Researchers followed 37 patients aged 50-75, measuring their muscle strength, calf size, and walking ability before surgery and again at one and three months after. The goal was to see if having knee surgery affects a patient's muscle mass and physical function.
