First seen Nov 24, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study will measure how common muscle loss (sarcopenia) is in 100 older adults aged 60+ who have had type 2 diabetes for at least 5 years. Researchers will use ultrasound and grip strength tests to assess muscle health and a questionnaire to see how muscle loss affects quality of life. The goal is to better understand the link between diabetes and muscle decline.
