NCT ID NCT07011030

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a new bioimpedance device (Biody XpertZM3) that measures muscle mass while seated, without sticky electrodes. It compared results to standard DXA scans in 72 older adults. The goal was to see if the simpler device could accurately diagnose sarcopenia, a condition of age-related muscle loss that increases frailty.
